The story behind the ASCND name
Inspired by the Greek story of Icarus.
01 — Why ASCND
ASCND is a mission before it is a name: to help others ascend,
to always get back up, whatever the fall,
and aim higher than before.
Our whole team believes the same thing: that our expertise — strategy, design, and technology working as one — can take a client’s business and raise it to another level.
Now, let us delve into ASCND’s mascot story.
02 — An old story says it best

Minos
the king who built walls

Icarus
the boy who chose the sun

Daedalus
the craftsman who built wings

I
For knowing too much, Daedalus and his son were locked away — inside the very labyrinth the craftsman had built for the king.

II
The only road left was up. So Daedalus built two pairs of wings — feathers, harness, and wax.

III
He warned the boy: not too low, the sea will take you — not too high, the sun will. Icarus rose. And kept rising.

IV
The wax let go, and the sky did too. The boy fell — and the sea that caught him still carries his name.
04 — How we read it
The ambition was never the flaw. The plan was. So at ASCND,
we build the team that delivers a plan that works —
taking you higher, and higher.
